Dr. Ash Maharaj, M.D., DABS came to Digestive Health Clinic having practiced and specialized in the field of outpatient Colorectal Surgery over the last five years. He practiced in General Surgery in Lindsay for two years after completing a residency in General Surgery at Yale University-Waterbury in Connecticut. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and of the Ontario Medical Association in addition to the Ontario Society of General Surgeons.
His current research interests include new treatment for acute & chronic anal fissures and fecal incontinence in the elderly.
My mission is to care for patients in a dignified fashion offering competent evidence based complete care; to lessen suffering as much as possible as patients struggle to deal with an area of the body that is sensitive. We are able to do this with our greatest resource; competent professionals who care, in a state of the art the facility.
