Maheep Sehgal

Maheep holds a Honors degree in Counselling Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field with a research focus. With a strong research interest in the intricate dynamics of addictions and trauma, Maheep is deeply committed to contributing to the understanding of these complex issues through his work and other pursuits. 

Recently, Maheep recent research delved into the relationship between addiction and loneliness, highlighting the underlying causes and offering valuable insights into this critical area. In addition, Maheep serves as a crisis response volunteer for a local victim services agency, demonstrating a profound commitment to community support and crisis intervention. In his free time Maheep likes playing sports, being with his dogs, listening to podcasts, reading books, and spending time in nature.  

Maheep employs an eclectic approach to counselling, which is trauma informed, grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Positive Psychology principles. These versatile methods ensure that each client receives a tailored therapeutic experience, focusing on what is most effective for their unique needs and recovery journey. Maheep’s dedication to providing empathetic and evidence-based care helps clients navigate their challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth.
