ALIDA FLANNERY, BA HONS, CARC

CONTINUING CARE RECOVERY COACH & COMPANION

Alida is a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC), completed her Intervention training with Earl Hightower in 2018, and previously worked as the Manager of Community Outreach for GreeneStone Centre for Recovery. As GreeneStone’s Continuing Care Recovery Coach and Companion she supports clients who have completed the Primary Residential program by providing guidance and the structure needed to achieve their goals outside of treatment.

As a Coach and Companion Alida serves as an accountability partner, helping clients meet intent with action. Individual goals, specific to each clients personal strengths and challenges, are set weekly and an empowerment approach is used to build their self-worth and confidence.

As a recovery advocate and a person in long-term recovery herself, Alida has an appreciation for the complex nature of substance use disorders. She knows making the decision to go to treatment is a decision that involves great courage and understands the bravery that is required to take those first steps.
