KATE MCMURRAY, BA

Primary Therapist

Kate is a primary therapist at GreeneStone Centre for Recovery. She utilizes empathy and compassion to create a safe space for her clients. Kate believes in a person-centered approach in which the client and the therapist work together to set and achieve goals. Kate offers a variety of skills such as CBT and DBT to best support her clients and meet their individual needs. She is currently in the process of being certified under the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF)

Kate is passionate about self-care in all forms and works with her clients to identify what areas of their lives need adjustment so that they can be making the necessary steps to rediscover joy. Kate has a degree in Family Studies from Western University and is a graduate of the Addictions: Prevention and Treatment program at Georgian College. She is currently pursuing a CACC certification and plans to complete a master’s program in Counselling Psychology. Kate facilitates psycho-education sessions and works within the YAT program. Kate is committed to supporting each client who arrives through the gates!
